The Staff Appointment Mini Program was developed by OnTheList for brand partners, allowing brand staff to book appointments for offline events and access online shopping events with discounted pricing.
To better understand users' pain points when making appointments through the Mini Program, we conducted several user interviews, collected 30 user surveys, and carried out usability testing on the existing Mini Program. We gathered the findings and synthesized key problems and potential solutions through affinity mapping and user journey analysis.
Our user research showed that users preferred clear information, simple steps, and user-friendly features during the booking process.
Analyzed competitor approaches to identify best practices for appointment booking interfaces, including clear titles, descriptive subtitles, call-to-action buttons, brand visual identity, and clean layouts.
Initial sketches and wireframes were created to explore different layout directions for the appointment booking flow.
Mapped out the key task flows to define how brand staff would navigate through the appointment booking process.
Created wire flows to visualize the connection between screens and user interactions.
Defined the screen flow to ensure a logical and intuitive progression through the Mini Program.
Comprehensive user flows were mapped to cover all key journeys within the Staff Appointment Mini Program.
We centered our biggest decisions around:
Designed a streamlined login flow supporting both email and phone number authentication.
Created a unified reservation interface that seamlessly handles both online and offline event bookings.
Designed an invite friend feature to help expand the user base through brand staff referrals.
Designed modal pop-ups for key interactions including appointment confirmations and notifications.
Established consistent grid and typography guidelines to ensure visual harmony across the Mini Program.
